One of my best friends or should I say the best friend of my adult life. who should I say saved me from being a small town hick WI girl- MEG was in town. being roomates by fate/luck freshman year of college was truley an important part of my life and me. she continues to touch my life in a way a true best friend only can.........good to have such amazing people in my life.... When Meg came to town 4 -5weeks after Steve's accident (he still being in the hospital). the moment she walk in our door and gave me a photo from her husband andrew. steve calls crying saying he moved his toe. (first movement in his lower half of his body). I had just opened this amazing picture taken in Mongollia by Andrew in a temple of the budda's feet. so too my amazement steve was telling me he moved a toe. So meg and I rushed to the hospital to see steve do it again only with intense concentration. He was so neurologically tired he could not do it again for 2 days. from that is where it all started his journey to walk again.

Denise,
Aw, jeez!
I'm so lucky that chance brought you into my life, too. Because of you I have had so many wonderful experiences: Colorado skiing, Utah hiking and camping, Grand Canyon 'in-and out' run/hikes, and kayaking to name a few. You've shared your gorgeous Flagstaff with me, and it's always amazing to spend time together. I love you.
And, it's good to see you and Steve progressing together, continuing to explore, kayak, fish, and ride; and, of course, I am also lucky that you have a husband that can cook!
Lots of love, Meg
Denise -- I feel pretty lucky to have met you both through Meg as well. Glad you like that picture -- and I'm especially glad it has such good associations.
Meg's lucky she married a husband that can cook, too.
A+M+J
