FREEDOM

columbines on Schultz creek trail. not the clearest pics they are from my phone.
more columbines just beautiful.

Orion springs trail all buffed out...
Recovering from my broken tibia just fine so far. Started riding my bike off the trainer last week......yeh.....today went for my 2nd ride out on the trails. The first ride I did not make it very far. Really trying to take it slow and not over do it. Today my 2nd ride on dirt was great, definitely tired at the end. Riding up Schultz creek trail I couldn't believe all the flowers especially the patch of columbines. Just beautiful. Boy Orion Springs trail sure got worked on and now is an easy climb. Kind of sad the last pitch of the climb has been shut down by the forest service. I came out across from New Ham trail. Itching to get into the Aspen trees I went up to Overlook trail. I layed down for a while in the aspen trees to rest my leg. I just went to the Overlook then turned around to down hill. I decided my broken tibia was not ready for Over look trail. Great to be up there. Leg still feels pretty good several hours later after the ride. Not bad for 4 1/2 weeks out since I broke my tibial Plateau. The ride across town back to the house was tiring. I was done. I layed down in bed for a little while. Still recovering and need to gain my fitness back......It is great to be back on the bike. The freedom to ride to work and leave the car at home....

fishin' and stuff 4th of july weekend

Dan, Steve and Barry enjoying bikes and beers good sunday afternoon. Cody sure is a good looking dog...
My hard work is paying off this year the yard is really taking off.
Blanket flowers are in full bloom
Just love our yard

After a good swim in Blue Ridge , I caught a nice trout... thanks for the pic Jeff.
Look at these beautiful dogs....life is good...
love the wild life. we saw a hundred plus elk on the drive to blue ridge that morning at 5 am.
Cody was thinking their boat looks more fun or maybe she just wants a beer
Thanks Eddie and Sheri for letting me use their canoe....I love having my own boat that I can take the dogs in.....

No biking for me still except on a trainer with no resistance. But Fishing, boating and swimming are just fine.... Went to blue ridge on friday with Jeff, Steve and Barry. I am putting weight on my leg and starting to use 1 crutch. Monsoon rains are here and the flowers are coming out. This really is my favorite time of year in Flagstaff. From all the tragedy last week, it sure once again reminded me to cherish life and our friends/family. Don't forget to slow down and smell/feel life.
