trails

I think both Steve and I our lucky to have found home. What I love most about Flagstaff is the trails and good friends. yes it is a Dry state & we are entering dust season on the low trails already, but that is what makes it so beautiful when we do get moisture. I do wish flagstaff was closer to my Family. but my other home WI is only a 3 1/2 hour flight away, from Phoenix that is. just a few pics of our day today in 70 degree temps.....D

Family

Good to have such an amazing family. spent the day with Steve and the dogs out in the woods. lucky to have water flowing on schultz creek trail. got a great ride in the other day before work. I will not post for a week. I have an important unexpected trip to Milwaukee, WI for Family...Never Forget to stop, smell, listen and feel the powers of Nature....D

water

Yeah some great riding to be had in Flagstaff.....rode up to snow the other day with Anges. love seeing all the springs that are running right now. the lakes near our house are full....went kayaking on lower lake Mary this am, which many times can be dried up to a mud puddle. sally insisted on sitting on my lap for part of the time. what a spoiled black dog. Jeff joined me for part of the paddle. he continued to fish while I went to work. love all the water.....thanks Dan and Kathy for letting me use your kayak.....D

puerto lobos- thanks Elson and Cindy

nice to leave our culture and enter another completely different. refreshing and important to see how others live... some of nicest people with so little. Fresh fish from the ocean. fresh vegetables and home made tortillas yummmmmm from the local women. people living simple. using there local resources, being happy and more generous than most. puerto lobos at the end of a 70 kilometer dirt road on the ocean. a little fishing community.

great to kayak for my first time on the ocean. saw sea lions, dolphins, and a whale that was off on the horizon. the last day was a sea of glass it was awesome.....good to be home- road the trails from the house. snow is melting fast....D
