Lee's Ferry trip 10- 2008

Late on posting this since we got back a week ago Saturday. Steve and I did one of our local kayaking adventures only 2 hours away....kayaking upstream on the mighty Colorado river, camping and fishing.....It was our 2nd year doing it with our friends Tara & Devin- who's anniversary is a week after ours....So it has turned into our annual anniversary trip.....We just timed it perfectly with weather.

Check this out . This tree fell down Saturday. boy it was a windy cold weekend. I was riding home from a mt bike ride and had to take a pic of this. I am glad no body got smashed....be careful out there. I am glad I am enjoying our fall color because the leaves are falling down fast or just freezing before turning peak fall color

Some quick fall pics. today is our Anniversary 7 years....we will celebrate by leaving tomorrow until Saturday... We are going to Lees Ferry - kayaking , fishing , camping.....hope you all have a good week..

Wow there is some weather blowing in hard. clouds flying over head all afternoon with dark clouds building....I am not sure how long the fall leaves will last with this wind and potential for stormy weather this weekend. Checked out some new AZ trail today from snow bowl rd to Bismark lake....beautiful high meadows....

Also today is my niece- Montana's last day of Chemo treatment. She was diagnosed early May/late April with Kidney Cancer at 11 years old. She has now completed her treatment and will be 12 on 10-31-08. She is now cancer free..........a big Congratulations to her. Montana designed a Christmas ornament that will be sold for 10$ and all the proceeds go to the MAC fund- childhood cancer research...

We road Thursday what perfect weather....so glad we did it then because it snowed up there today. I am not sure how many leaves will survive the cold, windy, & wet conditions from today....

What can I say biking in fall color......I just love it...

Sherri is really one of my first friends here in flagstaff 12 1/2 -13yrs ago. We met working together. Started our friendship exploring the trails here and Sedona on foot. Gosh it has been awhile since we spent hours out in the woods together. Maybe even before she had Danika and Braden, and the oldest is in first grade. Wow we were over due. I was stoked to get out with Sherri on bikes. She road my orange Coconino with her first time on clipless peddles and did great- no crashes....A friend I can always count on, it was great to spend some real time together out in nature......D
