In Memory of those that died

Flagstaff had a tragic accident yesterday. 2 medical helicopters crashed into each other, 6 died. People out there working hard to save lives, became a part of a tragic accident themselves. I just want to acknowledge all those in professions that put themselves on the line to save others. my heart goes out to the families and friends of those that died. It was hard to breath when I first heard of the crash, knowing many who work for Guardian Air and Classic. We all need to appreciate our life and cherish those around us......... my deep thoughts and energy goes out to those suffering tonight over their loss................D

Well I sure did it this time with my crash last Friday the 13th. I broke my Tibial plateau. (bone in my lower leg) . I am on crutches and back to swimming at NAU and put one of my coconinos in the trainer to spin on the bike. Steve and I are something to see when we go on an outing both on crutches. thanks to friends we are able to go fishing - Jeff and Barry. And thanks Deanne for going with me to the grocery store. thanks to Dan B. the other night going out with us to a music show , so he could get us beer. that is not the only reason Dan went with us, but it was handy.... what we do without our friends?........

Need to slow down

The Gods are trying to tell me something. I have felt so amazing on my new flowered coconino. that I feel I can ride anything. So I started pushing the limits again and trying things I have not cleaned , with much success I have been stoked. With that success have come some failures. I ate shit hard a few weeks ago but came out of it OK. Yesterday I ate shit again. I felt so solid about the maneuver and was riding strong. trying to ride this hard maneuver on the second half of secret trail before Your Mama trail I sailed over my bars. I thought was going to land fine then my right leg extended and slammed straight into the ground and hyper extended. shit that hurt and my knee is quite swollen. this one will put me out for a little while. It is hard for me to not push myself and ride gnarly shit. I could visualized the maneuver but when I thought I had it, it all slipped out from underneath me.

enjoying the beautiful forest yesterday with Kris was a treat. often lives get busy and we do not cross paths as much as we should. I sure do love my flower bike. I am really getting the groove to enjoy big log ramps, thanks to the help of the bike.
