nice to leave our culture and enter another completely different. refreshing and important to see how others live... some of nicest people with so little. Fresh fish from the ocean. fresh vegetables and home made tortillas yummmmmm from the local women. people living simple. using there local resources, being happy and more generous than most. puerto lobos at the end of a 70 kilometer dirt road on the ocean. a little fishing community.
great to kayak for my first time on the ocean. saw sea lions, dolphins, and a whale that was off on the horizon. the last day was a sea of glass it was awesome.....good to be home- road the trails from the house. snow is melting fast....D

Looks like a great trip! We'll have to go paddling together in the future. Paddling open water is very humbling. You feel very small. At least I do. Really makes you think.
