Monsoon rains back in full swing.....YEH....

I love this view of the peaks from the top switch back on sunset trail....
Gosh how lucky I am to be Married to Steve Garro and ride hand crafted show bikes....
I was stoke yesterday riding look at these trail conditions....all wet and tacky....

check out this sunflower over 9 feet tall. everyday I think it grows 6 pulse inches. it is almost as tall as the shop now.......

rode some AZ trail and Mormon mt trail Monday with Christy.. gosh it is beautiful out there. there were one other set of bike tire tracks that I could tell. we also saw and thanked volunteer forest service folks on horse back cutting out the down trees on the AZ trail by hand....

top of Mormon mt trail.....2 coconinos
view from the rode up moromon mt to the trail
big lush goose berry bushes along the trail at the top.....
Christy left something behind for the trail gods..... Your lip sure bleeds a lot....
she tucked and rolled or something like that but the bike in the end kissed her hard in the face.. mormon mt trail is not Rocky that is why we love it......

last week it dried up for several days, and I & my flowers were dreaming of rain....and yes 2 days ago they started right up again.......This definitely is my favorite time of year in Flagstaff.....the flowers this year in the forest are amazing.....and the trails are oh so sweet.......

So glad I just had a minor step off fracture. Last week I road up Weatherford trail and down Overlook trail. I knew then that I was ready for the One speed(flower bike). No pain , no swelling fully healed.......Great to be back out with Steve again too.............Also doing regular yard work. weeds weeds weeds. a continual battle but I would not change a thing. I love having some land to landscape and create.

FREEDOM

columbines on Schultz creek trail. not the clearest pics they are from my phone.
more columbines just beautiful.

Orion springs trail all buffed out...
Recovering from my broken tibia just fine so far. Started riding my bike off the trainer last week......yeh.....today went for my 2nd ride out on the trails. The first ride I did not make it very far. Really trying to take it slow and not over do it. Today my 2nd ride on dirt was great, definitely tired at the end. Riding up Schultz creek trail I couldn't believe all the flowers especially the patch of columbines. Just beautiful. Boy Orion Springs trail sure got worked on and now is an easy climb. Kind of sad the last pitch of the climb has been shut down by the forest service. I came out across from New Ham trail. Itching to get into the Aspen trees I went up to Overlook trail. I layed down for a while in the aspen trees to rest my leg. I just went to the Overlook then turned around to down hill. I decided my broken tibia was not ready for Over look trail. Great to be up there. Leg still feels pretty good several hours later after the ride. Not bad for 4 1/2 weeks out since I broke my tibial Plateau. The ride across town back to the house was tiring. I was done. I layed down in bed for a little while. Still recovering and need to gain my fitness back......It is great to be back on the bike. The freedom to ride to work and leave the car at home....
